About Us

ABOUT US

North Alabama Dance Center has been educating the youth of Madison County and the greater Huntsville area since 1984. Our talented instructors are passionate about dancing and our philosophy is simple... teach excellent dance technique in a loving and caring environment. We know that dance teaches
confidence, grace, poise, coordination, team work and self-discipline.

Who We Are

Our talented faculty is led by our Director, Mary Katherine Atnip.  Please visit the "Our Team" Page to read bios on all of our instructors.

Annual Recital and Performance Opportunities

We afford every student the chance to perform at our annual recital held at the Von Braun Center Concert Hall.  This is a full scaled Broadway style production.  We also host a Summer Solo Recital at Merrimack Hall.  Our older students compete yearly at Regional and National Competitions.

Award Winning

NADC students regularly take top honors such as Grand Champion, Best Choreography, Best Overall in both Age Divisions and Dance Discipline Styles.

Expert Team

The NADC office is well managed and our parents are very complimentary of the level of communication form our Office.  Parents are able to pay their bill online.

Quality Guaranteed

Our faculty is dedicated to teaching correct technique and developing well-rounded dancers.  Many NADC graduates have gone on to dance professionally, teach dance and also open their own studios.

Not only has dance taught our daughter to be a hard worker, the studio has become like a second home for her - a place where she is given grace and love, yet is challenged to be a better dancer and human.
Kathryn (mom of a graduating Senior)
I love their focus on teamwork and how they intentionally make sure every child has the opportunity to develop, compete, and enjoy the gift of dance. The girls have every opportunity to shine individually, but they are learning the power of what you can accomplish when you work together toward a common goal. The costumes are always age appropriate and classy.
